Merry Christmas Cap and Patti. I am one of those people who struggled with Christmas for many years. This year, I started remembering a lot of years when it was a joyous time. My brain started to pick it apart and came to the realization that my hatred of Christmas stemmed from my illness, that over the years, doing all the Christmas stuff became so much harder for me. The more I struggled, the more I resented Christmas. The realization relieved me of that resentment. This year, I chose to remember the good times and let go of my resentment at not being able to participate. Made the days much more pleasant. Much love, Kathleen

Part of the problem is that, all in all, it is a celebration of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth and NOT what we seem to have made it into. A highly commercialized season, with an emphasis upon buying gifts and attending both office parties and other parties and trying to outdo one another to some degree.
