FEB 25, 17 .. THE CANYON CLUB .. LAGUNA BEACH CALIFORNIA

It is pretty difficult to state that one club, within the Fellowship of A.A. is more, or less, famous than any other club.

That being said, IF one club is more famous than the next club, The Canyon Club, in Laguna Beach California, certainly would jump close to the top-of-the-list.

Why? The list of well known members who called The Canyon Club 'home' certainly is a long one. Chuck C, Dr. Paul, Bob E, to name just three.

I will begin with photos of the exterior of The Canyon Club in Laguna Beach.

  The grounds are really pleasant.
Now we will step inside of The Canyon Club.

First we will look at the main meeting room as you view it from the entrance into the room.

Now we move closer to the front of the main meeting room.

The 12 Steps are on the left side of the main meeting room.

The 12 Traditions are on the right side of the main meeting room.

Now we are standing in the front of the main meeting room looking back at the entrance and rear of the room.

At the rear of the main meeting room is a nice aquarium.

The photo below looks out the window wall on the left side of the main meeting room upon a very pleasant patio.

The Canyon Club has a very nice lounge and bookstore.

Visiting The Canyon Club was very enjoyable. We also attended two meetings in the main meeting room.

JAN 31, 17 .. THE SUBJECT IS .. HOPE

From Scottsdale Arizona in the Southwestern United States.

There is a really nice club here in Scottsdale called the North Scottsdale Fellowship Club

I was in a meeting recently and the subject of the Discussion Meeting was the word .. Hope.

This is really an ethereal topic and much of the discussion was, to use one word, vague.

The meeting was ending and the last lady to share gave to me the following stunning gift.

She said words to the effect of:

"Hope is actually an acronym. As such it stands for ..

Hearing Others Personal Experience."

"When I hear others talk about their personal experience I gain HOPE!"

WOWIE DOES THAT NAIL IT !!
