MANY OF YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT THE MANY IMPORTANT HISTORICAL SITES OF THE FELLOWSHIP OF ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS.

I PLAN TO SHARE WITH YOU PHOTOS I HAVE TAKEN OF THEM AS WELL AS PHOTOS I HAVE TAKEN OF SPECIAL MEETING LOCATIONS THAT I HAVE VISITED.

NOV 27, 14 .. THE MARINERS CLUB .. KOWLOON .. HONG KONG

IT'S THANKSGIVING DAY!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL!

I-for-one am so happy .. and I-for-one am so THANKFUL .. to be sober just one-day-at-a-time!

I want to start this Post by discussing two words.

I. Hong Kong.

Simple enough right?  Not quite.  Hong Kong can mean three things.  1.  Hong Kong is a City.  2.  Hong Kong is an Island.  3. Hong Kong is a Metropolitan Area encompassing other cities and districts.

II. Kowloon.

Kowloon is ..

1. A City across Victoria Harbor from the city and the island of Hong Kong.

2. A Peninsula of Mainland China.

3.  Part of the Hong Kong Metropolitan Area.

Now down to the business at hand.

A.A. MEETINGS IN KOWLOON

THE MARINERS' CLUB

The Mariners' Club is quite a landmark in Kowloon.  I personally have attended A.A. meetings at the Mariners' Club beginning in late October of 1990.

So let's have a look-see at the Mariners' Club as you look up Middle Road in Kowloon.

At night.

Time to go-inside of the Kowloon Mariners' Club.

At Night.

Hot Dog!  We are in-the-right place!

Back in 1990 .. The meetings at the Mariners' Club were quite large.  As happens with many meetings .. things change with the passage of time.  Thankfully .. although much smaller now .. the meetings have survived and are a real presence in Hong Kong A.A.

"A game of 8-Ball before the meeting anyone?"

It feels like home to see The Steps and The Traditions.

In the center of the seating circle on the floor are some of our A.A. Words Of Wisdom!

Time to walk back down the steps and head-for-home after another great meeting.

ALWAYS REMEMBER!!

"Lychee!  You don't come to meetings at the Mariners' Club!
See you all over at 12 Borrett Road in Hong Kong.

  3. Carol S., California. Summer of 1980 I was grateful meetings were held at the Mariners Club which I could view from my hotel room in the New World Center. Being alone and far from home, the warmth of the members felt like family
